Fingerprinting FAQ

Do I need Livescan or ink fingerprint cards in Florida?

Your agency decides, and its application instructions tell you which one. If they give you an ORI number and say Livescan, Florida Level 2 screening, AHCA Clearinghouse, or FDLE, you need Livescan. Ink cards will not work for that. If they say FD-258, hard card, or mail your prints, you need ink cards. If you are filing an ATF eForm, you can upload an EFT file instead of mailing cards. We come to you in Volusia County for ink FD-258 cards ($50) and EFT files ($75). We don't do Livescan, but we'll point you to it. For Livescan near Volusia, book The UPS Store (Certifix) in Ormond Beach and bring your ORI number: https://services.certifixlivescan.com/services?locationId=TUPSS4065. Not sure which one you need? Text us the exact wording from your application at (386) 999-3975 before you book.
