Fingerprinting FAQ
What happens if I use the wrong ORI number?
If you give the Livescan provider the wrong ORI, or no ORI at all, the agency that needs your results may never receive them. DBPR states that failure to provide an ORI, or providing an incorrect ORI, will prevent the department from receiving your fingerprint results. The applicant is responsible for giving the provider the correct code. Results usually cannot be redirected after submission. You may need a new submission with the right ORI, which means another provider fee and another set of government fees. Before you book, match the ORI on your application to the profession list from your board, then confirm the code in FDLE's ORI Fee Search if you want to double-check fees.
